West Elm nylon cord

Copper is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Equally just as luxurious as gold or silver (if not more), copper is rich and warm, and emits an air of relaxation. Not to mention it seems especially beautiful within a cool, bright space. 
I'm gradually forming a small collection of copper objects, and hope to add more. With this diy I realized how effective simply spray paint can be in helping me achieve this. 
Very eager to grab some things from my room and just go paint-crazy... so many possibilities.

Maison Martin Margiela, i-D Magazine April 1998: The World Class Issue

Continuity. It is essential to succeed, to excel, to learn, to grow.

While making more personal plans and goals (and actually noticing growth/achievement), I figured it would be a healthy challenge to add blogging to my list of things "to-do" again.

I remembered I had stored away this quote by Martin Margiela some time ago, and thought it would suit well for the occasion. The brilliant deconstructionist's take on the present and future is a simple, yet effective one. 

Life continues on, whether we like where it's going or not. We can stop going a certain direction, we can digress, but we keep moving forward in time. If motion is inevitable and time will be spent regardless, we might as well be using that time continuing towards a goal or desire of our own choosing.
